By booking an appointment with us, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
1. Our Promise to You

Your care will always be patient-centred, with no unnecessary shortcuts.

We will recommend treatments based on long-term health and aesthetics, not quick fixes.

We will clearly explain your options, benefits, risks, and costs before starting treatment.

All patient information is kept strictly confidential in accordance with the Privacy Act 1988 and the Australian Privacy Principles (APPs).

We comply fully with AHPRA advertising guidelines and the Dental Board of Australia Code of Conduct.
2. Your Responsibilities as a Patient
To help us provide the best possible care, please:

Provide accurate and complete medical history, including medications and allergies.

Attend scheduled appointments on time.

Follow your recommended oral hygiene instructions and treatment plan.

Inform us promptly of any changes to your health or contact details.
3. Appointments & Scheduling

Confirmation: We send appointment reminders via SMS, email, or phone. Non-receipt of a reminder does not cancel your booking.

Cancellations/Rescheduling: Please provide at least:

2 business days’ notice for appointments under 90 minutes

3 business days’ notice for appointments 90 minutes or longer

Late Arrivals: Arriving more than 15 minutes late may require rescheduling, and cancellation fees may apply.

Missed Appointments: Missed or late-cancelled appointments may incur a fee to cover reserved clinical time.
4. Treatment Planning & Consent

All new patients receive a comprehensive examination before treatment begins.

We will discuss all relevant treatment options, including doing nothing, along with the associated risks and benefits.

Consent may be given in writing, verbally, or by proceeding with scheduled treatment after discussion.

You may withdraw consent at any time by notifying us in writing. However, stopping treatment early may affect outcomes and could require further dental intervention.
5. Fees & Payment

We will provide a written treatment plan and estimate before commencing treatment.

Quotes are valid for 60 days unless otherwise stated.

Payment is due on the day of service unless arranged otherwise.

We accept cash, EFTPOS, credit cards, HICAPS claims, and approved payment plans (subject to third-party provider terms).

For extensive treatments, we may require a deposit to secure your booking.

Discounts or promotional offers are applied at our discretion and cannot be combined unless stated.
6. Health Fund Claims

We can process claims on the day of treatment via HICAPS.
-
The rebate amount is determined by your health fund and policy, not Taylor Street Dental.

Any treatment gap is payable by you on the day.
7. Emergency & Urgent Care

We prioritise existing patients for emergency appointments.
-
If you have swelling, uncontrolled bleeding, trauma, or severe unrelieved pain, contact us immediately.
-
After-hours emergencies may incur an additional call-out fee.
8. Retention of Records & Images
-
Dental records, photographs, radiographs, and scans form part of your clinical record and are securely stored in accordance with Australian law.

You may request copies of your records by submitting a written request.

With your consent, we may use de-identified images for education, clinical case discussions, or marketing.
9. Guarantees & Warranty

Australian Consumer Law guarantees apply to all services provided.

Dentistry, like all healthcare, cannot promise a lifetime result due to factors such as diet, oral hygiene, and natural changes.

If a treatment fails due to material or workmanship issues, we will repair or replace it within a reasonable period at no extra cost, provided:

You have attended recommended check-ups and cleans as advised

You have followed all post-treatment care instructions

10. Cancellations by Us

In rare cases (e.g., illness, equipment failure), we may need to reschedule your appointment.

We will notify you as soon as possible and rebook at the earliest available time.
11. Complaints & Feedback
We value feedback and take complaints seriously. If you are unhappy with your care:
